Five Taiwan-based PCB makers begin shipments for new iPhone, say Taiwan makers

Taiwan-based PCB makers Nanya Printed Circuit Board, Tripod Technology and Unimicron Technology have been selected as suppliers of HDI (high-density interconnect) boards for the new iPhone which is expected to be unveiled in June, according to industry sources in Taiwan.

Flexium Interconnect and Career Technology also started shipments of flexible PCBs to Apple for the new iPhone earlier in the second quarter, the sources claim.

The five PCB makers declined the opportunity to comment.
