Nokia Messaging gets more social

Status updates and other social networking activities are brought to the device home screen with the latest beta release for Nokia Messaging. Starting with Facebook, you can get quick and easy access to your inbox, post a status, share photos, and keep in touch with friends. Download it today from Nokia Beta Labs http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/nokia-messaging-social-messaging

Key features
• Contextual home screen widget – jump directly into posts to comment
• Post your thoughts and photos from the camera or gallery
• Share your current location in a post or in a message using Ovi Maps; view friends’ locations
• Support for the Nokia N97 and Nokia 6700 classic, with more device support coming

What’s more, this latest beta is the start of an even more social Nokia Messaging service whereby multiple social networking communities will be mobilized. This means that with Nokia Messaging you will be able to email, chat or surf your social networks for one fixed price so there will be no more surprises in your monthly statements.

Today you can help us decide the features you would like to see in the commercial release. So, in the spirit of community involvement, help us drive Nokia Messaging forward.
