Servo Provides Device Search for China Mobile's New OPhone Platform

SAN MATEO, Calif., -- Servo Software, Inc. (www.getservo.com) announced the major distribution of its new Device Search product that is featured prominently on the home screen of China Mobile's new OPhone platform. China Mobile recently debuted its innovative proprietary OPhone operating system. Servo is a key part of the OPhone User Interface (UI) because of its powerful integrated Device Search. China Mobile has announced that several leading handset manufacturers have already built OPhones for China Mobile including HTC (known as dopod in China), LG, Lenovo, Dell and Philips and that other leading manufacturers will follow, including Motorola, Samsung and ZTE.

Servo has developed the search bar that will be featured on all OPhones, creating a single access point for users by combining Servo's powerful Device Search and traditional Internet Search. As users generate and store more information on their mobile handsets, Servo Device Search becomes a key handset feature to help them easily find and discover any piece of information, data or digital content on their devices, including contacts, messages, apps, music and more. From the same search bar, users can also search for anything on the Internet, using traditional search engines from Google, Yahoo!, Baidu and others. Combining these search features with an intuitive UI will lead to end users increasing their search frequency.

"There is widespread unmet need by consumers, carriers and handset manufacturers for Device Search on handsets. Innovate carriers and handset manufacturers are partnering with Servo to address that need," said Christof Wittig, founder and CEO of Servo Software, Inc. "Today marks the major distribution of Servo's first product, a carrier-grade solution to manage wireless user data in a novel fashion. We are proud to announce our availability with the most respected partners and in one of the largest and fastest growing markets in the wireless industry. In the very near future, we will launch more exciting products, with more partners to bring Servo's lineup of products and services to users anywhere in the world."

China Mobile is the largest wireless service provider in the world with over 498M customers. The new OPhone platform is based on Google's Android and is a key part of China Mobile's smartphone strategy. China Mobile announced that OPhone handsets are being produced by HTC, LG, Lenovo, Dell and Philips. The dopod A6188 and Philips v808 are currently available in stores across China. All OPhones will feature widgets of the most popular China Mobile services, including mobile TV, music, stock trades, instant messaging and more. In addition to the currently announced OPhones, China Mobile plans to debut several more OPhones in the upcoming months.
