We present the first home GLONASS-chips

Design Bureau "Navis" in the exhibition ChipEXPO-2009 presented two models of GLONASS / GPS / GALILEO / COMPASS new generation of receivers - series NV08C. One of them - NV08C-MCM-M - the first full-chip receiver that supports native development GLONASS, which does not require installation of additional components to be included, except the antenna and power supply.

The receivers will be produced in cooperation KB "Navis" with foreign partners of the company using the technology of 90 nanometers. This technology has not yet mastered Russia's microelectronic industries, so the first installment will be released in overseas factories microelectronics. After Russia's development of this technology specialists, production will move to domestic refineries.

Estimated date of beginning mass production of receivers - the first half of 2010. Expected volumes navigation receivers of the new generation - up to 300 000 units in 2010, and 2012 volumes may exceed 1 000 000 pcs. year.

As has been held in KB, on the market these receivers will be able to give significant impetus to the mass introduction and use of GLONASS satellite navigation system for consumer navigation devices.

Total cost of project development and launch into production a new generation of receivers - about € 10 million euros.
