On February 17 of 2009, the BOD of Samsung Electronics (SEC) authorized the Company to establish a joint venture with its affiliate, Samsung Electro Mechanics to improve competitiveness of its LED businesses.
Details
- Total Investment: KRW 180.9 billion will be invested by SEC.
- SEC and Samsung Electro Mechanics will each own a 50% stake in the joint venture.
- No decision has been made on the name of the joint venture.
