Intel Atom Z550 and the Z515 does not come until mid-April

Resource DigiTimes, citing informed sources at the companies engaged in the production of mobile Internet devices (MID), said that Intel has decided to postpone the release of new processors from the line of Atom. The new chips Intel Atom Z550 and Z515, designed for mobile Internet devices will be available only in mid-April.

CPU Intel Atom Z550 and the Z515 operate with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz and 2 GHz respectively. Their average energy consumption is 0.22 W, and TDP - 2,4 Watts. Atom Z550 processor chipsets will support Intel US15W, whereas the Atom Z515 is designed for chipsets US15W or UL11L (with low power consumption). In addition, the Atom Z515 processor supports new technology, BPT (Burst Performance Technology) from Intel, which automatically adjusts the clock frequency of the nucleus, depending on the required level of performance. That is, when performing simple tasks, it is reduced, saving energy, but when switching to the complex and intensive applications processor clock speed increases.
