The company Sony Ericsson announced that its sales and net profit in the first quarter of 2009 will drop again. The negative impact on the volume of supplies has, in general, the reduction of user demand and slow the sale of stocks of equipment, stockpiled in the warehouses of distributors.
According to preliminary estimates, in the first quarter of 2009 will be sold 14 million mobile devices, Sony Ericsson. The average retail price of the phone will be 120 euros. Expected decline in gross margin as in relation to that of the last quarter, and to the same period last year. Net profit before tax also decreased to about 340 - 390 million euros (excluding restructuring costs 10 - 20 million euros).
