Huntley And Gilberts, Illinois, Residents To Benefit From Verizon Wireless Network Enhancements

New Cell Site Means Improved Wireless Broadband Service

HUNTLEY, IL — Verizon Wireless, the wireless company with the highest customer loyalty, has activated a new cell site in Huntley, which will enable more customers to use its high-speed wireless network to send and receive email and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos; and download music, games and ringtones, using the company’s Mobile Broadband service.

The new cell site, located near the intersection of Freeman Road and Powers Road, improves coverage in Huntley and Gilberts, as far north as Huntley Road, as far south as Big Timber Road, as far east as Boyer Road and as far west as Route 47.

Verizon Wireless has invested more than $50 billion since it was formed—$5.5 billion on average every year—to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network and to add new services. Of this investment, $1.2 billion was spent in Illinois, including more than $179.5 million in 2008.
