Draft Karty@Mail.Ru launch LBS-service for users of its mobile client based on Windows Mobile. Now they can find each other at the map of Moscow, St. Petersburg and the respective areas.
Using a mobile client «Karty@Mail.Ru» and noting its current location or point of destination, the user can send SMS to any number indicating its GPS-coordinates. A recipient who has a similar client immediately sees that a point on the map. Owners of mobile devices without the program «Karty@Mail.Ru» can be obtained to enter the coordinates into the search bar on the project page http://maps.mail.ru or any GPS-navigator.
In addition, the available opportunity to send a message «You are where?», Requesting the location of the recipient. The new service was developed in collaboration with the company «MIT» (brand City Guide). In the near future it will also support mobile versions of «Kart@Mail.Ru» for Java and Symbian.
