It became known that Palm is planning to continue work on the project Foleo. It was reported in his address to investors expert Global Equities Research Trip Chaudhry (Trip Chowdhry). This Foleo is based on webOS. 10-inch mini-notebook (or netbuk?) Palm Foleo, according to the Chaudhry, based on the ARM processor and uses a wireless chipset with support for Qualcomm Gobi 3G. The device will only work with browser-based applications, notes the analyst. The advantage of the device is a long time working on one battery charge - 8-10 hours.
Recall Palm Foleo announcement took place in 2007, but then release device was lifted under the pretext of the development of more promising areas: the operating system webOS. Initially Foleo was presented as the first of a new class - a mobile companion. He was to be used in conjunction with smartphones from Palm. But now, Foleo, apparently, will continue as an independent solution - the mini-notebook computer that is running or netbuk webOS.
