Toshiba launches high-performance 2.5 "HDD capacity 500 GB

Toshiba has announced a new line of high-performance hard drives in small form factor 2.5-inch rotating at 7200 rpm, where it will place polutorabaytnoy model. Beginning of mass production of the new series is scheduled for next month manufacturer.

This series, MK5056GSY models will be presented with a volume of 160, 250, 320 and 500 GB, intended primarily for use in home and business PCs, gaming laptops and small multi-functional PC. As the company claims, compared with the previous generation 2.5 "HDD, with spindle speed 7200 rpm, the new series features improved performance, where data is transmitted to 23% faster, reaching the mark of 1,255 Mbps. In addition, new models differ significantly reduced noise and energy consumption (up to 28%) compared to the same generation of devices.
