HTC (High Tech Computer) has reported that its revenues topped NT$34.01 billion (US$1.05 billion) in the third quarter of 2009, barely meeting the company's low-end revenue target of NT$34 billion. The third-quarter number also represented a decline of 11% from the previous quarter and 10.2% from a year earlier.
After-tax profits for the third quarter stood at NT$5.76 billion, down 17.6% on year. The earnings represented an EPS of NT$7.26 for the quarter, compared to NT$9.25 of a year ago.
In September, revenues reached NT$11.83 billion, increasing 4.2% on month but declining 13.8% on year, said the company, adding that for the first nine months of 2009, revenues edged down 1.3% on year to NT$103.8 billion.
