Portable Router D-Link DIR-457 for networks of 3G

Company D-Link announced a new portable router DIR-457, designed to work in networks of 3G, and ensures a secure connection to mobile broadband networks.

Portable Router DIR-457 myPocket supports download speeds of up to 3,6 Mbit / s when using SIM-card UMTS / HSDPA. DIR-457 allows you to quickly connect to a 3G network and share the connection between the 6 wireless Wi-Fi clients, such as portable computers, phones, game consoles, etc. To connect to the network simply press the button "On", located on the top of the device. This router is also equipped with a slot for cards microSD, thus allowing for shared access to files stored on the card devices connected to Wi-Fi.

DIR-457 can operate as a USB-modem mode, and in the mode Wi-Fi router. The device provides protection to the wireless connection using encryption, WPA/WPA2. The DIR-457 will be available to order from authorized resellers, D-Link in the second quarter of 2010. Suggested retail price of the device is $ 256.
