Azingo Appoints Ravi Gopalakrishnan as Vice President of Engineering

Mobile Device Technologist Will Direct Global Development of the Company’s Mobile Linux Software Platform

Sunnyvale, CA., — Azingo, formerly Celunite, developer of a next-generation mobile software platform based on Linux and other open source innovations, announced today that Ravi Gopalakrishnan will lead its engineering operations.

Mr. Gopalakrishnan will manage a wide range of activities supporting the company’s rapid growth - including expansion of the mobile Linux engineering team, defining and implementing web-enabled mobile applications, development of comprehensive mobile Linux middleware and directing platform integration, qualification and delivery processes.

Mr. Gopalakrishnan joins Azingo from Motorola, where he was director of Mobile Devices for Motorola Japan with responsibility for leading the requirements, carrier compliance, development and delivery of the MOTORAZR FOMA product to NTT DoCoMo. A 15 year veteran of the wireless industry, Gopalakrishnan brings strong relationships with leading carriers, handset vendors and software suppliers in addition to significant expertise in multimedia mobile platforms for mid and high-end handsets.

Prior to his position directing development of mobile devices, Gopalakrishnan held a variety of management positions at Motorola including director of Motorola Mobile Devices in the US, senior resource manager and engineering manager, leading large global software development and product integration teams. He holds a master of science degree in Physics from IIT Kanput, a master of science degree in Computer Engineering from IISc in Bangalore and a masters of business administration from the University of Chicago.
