3D multi-touch from Nokia: responding to the force pressing the

Among the documents the U.S. Patent Office has been found an interesting application from Nokia. It describes the so-called 3D multi-touch. This is a finger touch interface, which allows for device management, not only by moving a few fingers on the display and the various movements, but also by force pressing. That is, the effect is a kind, and in the direction of the third axis of coordinates - in depth.

3D multi-touch to be implemented, particularly on mobile devices with capacitive sensors, displays and a set of efforts. It is not clear whether the technology is still at the stage of concept or Nokia is already working on prototypes and preparing commercial samples.
