Broadband Innovation, Investment and Policy Provide Backbone for SUPERCOMM's Opening Day Agenda

Aneesh Chopra, America's CTO, delivers his vision of how broadband will transform the American economy on Thursday Oct. 22nd.

CHICAGO, -- SUPERCOMM kicked off early this morning with a slate of keynotes from some of the world's leading telecommunications and broadband companies including AT&T, BT Innovate & Design, CenturyLink, Qwest Communications, Sprint, TiVo, and Verizon. With a focus on broadband innovation, investment, delivery and policy, Verizon Communications CEO and Chairman Ivan Seidenberg's speech set the tone for the three-day conference being held in Chicago this week.

Upcoming Events and Keynotes

Tomorrow's lineup will continue to bring together industry leaders for engaging dialogue on broadband and industry trends. On Thursday, October 22nd the keynote stage will feature Aneesh Chopra, CTO and Associate Director for Technology, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy; John Stankey, President and CEO, AT&T Operations; Patrick Esser, President, Cox Communications; and Sue Spradley, President of North America, Nokia Siemens Networks.

Also on Thursday, the Digital Media & Broadband Entertainment Forum will commence, fostering discussion on how this growing sector will affect business, marketing and technology for suppliers, enterprise and high-end users.
