Mio Virtual Roadshow Attracts Record Visitors

Mio, leading maker of Portable Navigation Devices (PNDs), announced the successful results of its online virtual roadshow. During the 18 days of the show, the Mio virtual roadshow attracted nearly 10,000 visitors from more than 100 countries. Justine Liu, Global Marcom Director of Mio Technology, indicated that the online event marks a new age of communication between the Mio brand and consumers.

“This is a turning point for corporations wanting to communicate with their target audiences more efficiently. At the Mio Virtual Roadshow, we have been receiving positive feedback from users, showing their excitement about having first-hand news about new arrivals from Mio. By being innovative and creative we experienced the advantages of cost-efficiency without the limitations of time and distance,” said Liu.

In fact, Mio has already been sharpening its marketing strategy by leveraging the internet platform. Earlier this year, Mio officially launched the MioBuzz blog (http://www.miobuzz.tv/mio_coroporate_blog/) and has gained numerous positive responses from journalists, bloggers and consumers, becoming the most update news channel for tech enthusiasts everywhere. MioBuzz covers behind-the-scenes stories of product development, on-the-spot news from all over the world, and also travel stories from real users. Liu said that the show is just the beginning of Mio’s interactive online marketing strategy.

To take a lead in the changing market, Mio strategically launched the Explora K70 GPS Phone at the show. Featuring a stylish compact design and highly sensitive GPS receiver, the Mio Explora K70 GPS Phone has been a hot topic among bloggers and is considered to be a highly anticipated addition to the Mio family. Mio’s newly launched Mio Spirit navigation software was also on display, delivering the company’s new strategy of providing more than traditional A-to-B navigation.
