AT&T Makes it Easy to Call Mom ... No Matter Where She is

Your AT&T Mobile Phone is Your Passport for Staying Connected This Mother's Day

In the United States, and in more than 60 other countries, Mother’s Day will be celebrated Sunday, May 10. AT&T* today reported that international wireless calling volume on Mother’s Day 2008 rose by approximately 26 percent. This year, AT&T expects many customers will again use their wireless phones to speak words of love and gratitude to moms around the world.

“Mother’s Day is one of the most popular holidays for international wireless calls,” said Dave Albright, assistant vice president-Product Marketing Management, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “This year in particular, we expect to see even more customers use their wireless phone to call or send text messages to mom.”

AT&T makes it convenient and affordable for customers to stay connected to mom in the U.S. and around the world. For AT&T customers who have moms in other countries, AT&T World Connect for $3.99 per month is a great way to dial internationally from the U.S. to over 220 countries at discounted rates...directly from their wireless phone. (Rates to a landline are as low as $.08 per minute to the UK and $0.09 per minute to countries like Mexico, Germany, Japan, France, Israel and more).

Mexico continues to be one the most frequently called and traveled to countries for AT&T customers. The AT&T® Mexicosm plan for $4.99 per month offers great discounted rates whether you call or travel to Mexico. With the plan, wireless customers who place calls from the U.S. to Mexico pay $0.09 per minute to a landline number or $0.25 per minute to a wireless device. Discounted rates on calls while traveling in Mexico are only $0.59 per minute.

Dialing internationally from your AT&T internationally enabled mobile device is easy; simply dial the “+” sign (or 011), then the country code and local number. The “+” sign will appear on most phones if you press and hold the “0” key.
