Canon believes that its new technology of Hybrid IS is an optimal solution to compensate for angular and linear (with shift) shake the camera. The new Hybrid IS involves the angular velocity sensor for measuring the angular camera shake, which was used in all pre-arrangements of optical image stabilization and a new acceleration sensor, which determines the degree of flicker offset. In Hybrid IS a new algorithm that takes into account the output signals of two sensors and provides the movement of lens elements to compensate for both types of shaking. Hybrid IS significantly increases the effectiveness of image stabilization, especially in the macro, and allows you to get the result, which is difficult to obtain using traditional methods.
