Begins Beta Testing Symbian ^ 2

The group of developers Symbian Foundation has advanced the development of a new operating system for mobile phones Symbian ^ 2. According to the developers, the beta-testing the OS will begin in the coming weeks.

On versions of the S60 OS Symbian ^ 2 will differ completely changed intuitive interface, which will be adapted for hand controls, new widgets, and a greater range of personalization. Testing and debugging will continue for about a year and, consequently, the first smartphone to a new platform may appear as early as 2010.
