Global voice traffic over Skype amounted to 2.9 billion minutes in the first quarter of 2009, an increase of 65% from the same period of 2008, according to data released by the VoIP software vendor.
Meanwhile, the number of Skype subscribers worldwide reached 443 million at the end of the first quarter, up 43% from a year earlier, the data showed.
