Lake Bluff, Illinois, Residents To Benefit From Verizon Wireless Network Enhancement

New Cell Site Means Clearer Reception, Fewer Dropped Calls.

LAKE BLUFF, IL — Verizon Wireless, the wireless company with the highest customer loyalty, has activated a new cell site in Lake Bluff, Ill., which will enable more customers in the area to use their wireless phones concurrently to make calls; send and receive e-mail and text, picture and video messages; access the Internet; view high-quality videos; and download music, games and ringtones, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.

The new cell site improves coverage in the following areas:

•Along U.S. Highway 41, north to U.S. Highway 131 and south to Gages Lane;
•Along U.S. Highway 176, from Green Bay Road and west to Arcadia Road.

The new cell site in Lake Bluff is part of Verizon Wireless’ continual effort to expand coverage, increase capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Illinois and throughout the country. Verizon Wireless has invested more than $50 billion since it was formed—$5.5 billion on average every year—to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services. Of this investment, $1.2 billion was spent in Illinois, including more than $179.5 million in 2008.
