České Radiokomunikace to introduce high-end services for corporate and wholesale customers

Nokia Siemens Networks undertakes network extension to enable a full suite of IP and Carrier Ethernet services.

České Radiokomunikace, the leading Czech broadcast and telecommunications services provider, is constantly improving its offer of data and voice services, including Voice over IP (VoIP) and Virtual Private Network, to corporate and wholesale customers. Nokia Siemens Networks will undertake a network extension and upgrade for the service provider, which will enable data rates of up to 10 Gbps and support multi play services.

“Today, our customers need more and more bandwidth-hungry services and this modernization allows us to address their growing needs using a powerful IP and Carrier Ethernet environment,” said Libor Kubišta, COO of České Radiokomunikace. “This implementation will help to strengthen our proposition to corporate and wholesale customers and consolidate our position as leading data provider in Czech Republic.”

The upgrade features the deployment of high-performance Carrier Ethernet service routers and access switches, which offer low latency and high network security and support advanced applications and services. Nokia Siemens Networks is also providing České Radiokomunikace with network implementation, design and care services.

“Czech Republic is one of the most developed telecoms markets in the region and demand for data services in the country is growing. This network extension will allow the service provider to offer fast and reliable Internet without data transfer limits to corporate users and ISPs, as well as cost-effective voice services,“ said Dietmar Appeltauer, Head of Subregion Central East.

The network extension features Juniper Networks MX/EX series routers optimized for carrier-class Ethernet routing and packet-switching which will enable the high data rates.
