Thousands of PCMag.com site visitors, who are all buyers of consumer electronics products, were asked to rate their favorite products and services across several industries from desktops and notebooks to cell phones and cell services. Verizon Wireless was among the best for cell phone coverage, customer service and call quality.

Alltel received the second highest overall score in the cell services category. In January, Verizon Wireless completed its acquisition of Alltel, expanding the nation’s most reliable wireless network and bringing together two award-winning companies.

Verizon Wireless operates the nation’s largest and most reliable wireless voice and 3G data network and offers quality products and services backed by its recognized customer service. To increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $50 billion since it was formed in 2000 – $5.5 billion on average every year.
