Cricket Enters Agreement with Target Corporation

~ Cricket PAYGo Soon to be Available in Nearly 650 Target Corporation Locations Nationwide ~

SAN DIEGO – Cricket Communications, Inc., a leading provider of unlimited wireless services and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leap Wireless International, Inc. (NASDAQ:LEAP), announced it has formalized an agreement with the Target Corporation to make available Cricket’s new, all-inclusive Cricket PAYGo products at Target Corporation locations in Cricket markets nationwide starting Sunday, October 4, 2009.

Cricket PAYGo offers unlimited wireless service at $1, $2 or $3 per day used and monthly Cricket PAYGo service plans at $40 and $45 per month. Like all Cricket services, these offerings will be available without a signed contract or credit check and feature unlimited talk, U.S. long distance, access to Cricket’s premium extended coverage, and text, picture messaging and global text messaging. The $45 plan has all the unlimited features of the $40 plan plus unlimited mobile Web and 411 directory assistance. The new nationwide service plans are inclusive of telecom taxes and fees and include voicemail, call waiting, caller ID and three-way calling over Cricket’s 3G EVDO network. Cricket PAYGo top-up cards will be also available at select Target Corporation locations.

In addition to the service plans, two popular and attractively priced Cricket phones will also be available at Target Corporation. They include the Cricket TXTM8 (pronounced: text mate) which is built for text and picture messaging, and is ideal for staying connected with friends and family through social networks and Mobile Web. The TXTM8 also features Cricket MyHomeScreen providing access to news, sports, entertainment and weather. A vertical slide opens to reveal a QWERTY keypad beneath the 2.2” TFT color display. The phone also features a 1.3MP camera with zoom, an MP3 player, microSD memory card slot, voice recognition, and stereo Bluetooth®, as well as tri-band connectivity and is available at Target Corporation for $89.99.

Target Corporation guests will also be able to choose the newly launched Cricket CAPTR available for $49.99. The CAPTR is a camera phone for the budget-minded consumer and features a VGA camera, internal and external display and mobile Web. The Cricket CAPTR offers additional features including Bluetooth, voice activated dialing, along with text and picture messaging. The device comes ready with Mobile Web, Cricket Games and Apps, and the customizable Cricket MyHomeScreen.
