Guangdong CATV Accelerates the Delivery of Personalized Media Experiences with Motorola’s DOCSIS 3.0 Integrated CMTS Solution

Motorola’s BSR 64000 I-CMTS positions Guangdong CATV to deliver ultra-broadband Internet access and interactive services to subscribers.

BEIJING – Motorola Inc. (NYSE: MOT) Home and Networks Mobility announced that Guangdong CATV Network Co. Ltd., a leading Chinese provider of cable TV, Internet access and communications services to more than 1,000,000 householders in Guangzhou city, has deployed Motorola’s BSR 64000 Integrated Cable Modem Termination System (I-CMTS) to deliver high-speed Internet access and interactive services. This deployment marks another significant milestone for Motorola in China’s cable market where cable operators are preparing their networks for next-generation ultra-broadband service delivery.

Motorola’s BSR 64000 is a proven, high-density, standards-based and fully redundant I-CMTS/intelligent edge router that allows operators like Guangdong CATV to rapidly introduce differentiated data, voice and multimedia services. Operators using the BSR 64000 I-CMTS can rapidly deploy increased , flexible bandwidth configurations throughout their existing network via existing and new high-density downstream technology and channel bonding solutions as subscriber demand for faster broadband increases.
