Novatel Wireless Embedded Mobile Broadband Device Earns the Compatible with Windows 7 Logo

Expedite E760 Embedded Module Earns the Compatible with Windows 7 Logo in Advance of Windows 7 Availability.

SAN DIEGO, -- Novatel Wireless, Inc., (Nasdaq:NVTL) a provider of wireless broadband access solutions, announced the Expedite E760 embedded module has received the "Compatible with Windows 7" logo. This logo ensures compatibility and reliability with the new Windows 7 Mobile Broadband. Windows 7 Mobile Broadband allows all compatible devices to be managed under the "View Available Networks" feature within the Windows operating system. This simplifies the management and deployment of wireless mobile broadband devices.

Novatel Wireless plans to logo additional products and has also done extensive testing to ensure currently shipping devices will work with Windows 7. To date, most current devices, including the MiFi line of Intelligent Mobile Hotspots, will work on Windows 7 as they did on Windows Vista and Windows XP. Customers will not need to update their software or drivers in order to use Novatel Wireless' modems on Windows 7 but can continue to use the current connection management software they have today.

"We understand how important it is for customers that our products be compatible with Windows 7," said Slim Souissi, CTO for Novatel Wireless. "We are committed to provide the fastest and easiest mobile broadband connection experience and with the integration of Windows 7, users will reap the enhanced technical benefits without compromising performance."
