Sony Ericsson Create Now Competition - Poland

The Sony Ericsson Create Now Competition addresses Polish content developers, and opens on 8 October 2009 – of the same day as the Polish market debut of Sony Ericsson’s popular PlayNow™ arena one-stop content store. Entries must be received by 15 November 2009 and winners will be announced on 29 January 2010.

Entrants must develop an original application for a Sony Ericsson mobile phone. The application may be based on these platforms:

Symbian (S60 5th Edition),
Sony Ericsson Java Platform 8 (or higher)
Windows Mobile® 6.1 or 6.5

The applications can be submitted in one of the three categories:

social networks / interactive networks (such as: Nasza-klasa, gadu-gadu or Allegro)
information services (such as: news, a currency converter, information from the local stock exchange)
navigation, localization services.
All entries must be received in their final version by 15 November 2009. Please upload your application at Sony Ericsson’s content submission website submit.sonyericsson.com

Within 60 days the jury will select the entries which combine ease of use, innovation and aesthetic qualities. On 29 January 2010 the jury will announce the winners. The winning applications will be placed on PlayNow™ arena and their creators will be awarded attractive prizes in recognition of their prominent achievements and ideas.:

A trip to Lund in Sweden and an exclusive meeting with Sony Ericsson Content & Services development team for the winners of the 3 categories.
An advanced Sony Vaio laptop, the top model for productivity.
Additionally Sony Ericsson has guaranteed publicity for all winners in business or tech media with high coverage.
