Chunghwa Telecom posts net profit of over NT$3 billion for October

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has reported unaudited net profit of NT$3.552 billion (US$109 million) for October 2009, with January-October net profit of NT$36.799 billion translating into net earnings per share (EPS) of NT$3.79.

CHT had about 1.55 million FTTx (fiber to the home/building) subscribers and 400,000 ADSL subscribers at download speeds of 8Mbps or above as of the end of October 2009, the company indicated.

Taiwan Mobile (TWM) and Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) have also released their financial figures for October 2009.
