The mobile operator MTS has announced the establishment of the direct network connection to the U.S. long-distance telecommunications operator iBasis, one of the three world's largest transit operators.
This joining of networks: MTS, and iBasis carried out in the International Center interworking Ancotel (Germany) with iBasis Premium Voice services and enables operators to implement the mutual direct transmission of international voice traffic.
In accordance with the agreements, iBasis will terminate calls from its network to the network of MTS Group. Operator MTS, in turn, will send back the traffic to iBasis Network and exercise termination rates to 100 countries on 3 continents - North America, Europe and Asia. Through arrangements iBasis and MTS subscribers of the company will be able to make calls in roaming, with steady quality connection to the network both mobile and fixed operators.
