AT&T Wins Two Atlantic-ACM Global Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards

AT&T* announced that the AT&T Wholesale organization received two 2010 Global Wholesale Carrier Excellence Awards from ATLANTIC-ACM, a leading telecommunications industry research firm. AT&T won “Best in Class” awards for Brand and Network Quality (tie).

The awards are based on the results of ATLANTIC-ACM’s Global Wholesale Carrier Report Card, which evaluates the performance of global carriers based on more than 1,200 carrier evaluations by wholesale customers.

“Growing capacity consumption is driving strong demand for international transport and IP transit services, and global service provider customers’ ratings indicate AT&T continues to deliver proven network reliability to meet their diverse needs,” said Judy Reed Smith, CEO, ATLANTIC-ACM.

“This achievement marks an excellent start to the year and a new decade in which global service providers are assessing their business assets,” said Sherry Charles, vice president, Wholesale and GEM Solutions Marketing, AT&T Business Solutions. “Our customers increasingly need to accommodate applications that connect people, devices, machines, sensors and systems, and we will continue to provide them with the applications and infrastructure to help them to sustain and grow their customer base.”

The 2010 Global Wholesale Carrier Report Card offers insight into the global wholesale carriers based on direct feedback from wholesale customers. Wholesale providers gain understandings of their market positions with respect to areas such as billing, provisioning, network, customer service and pricing. Resellers gain access to carrier profiles detailing their product offerings as well as first-hand data regarding individual providers’ strengths and weaknesses. The study includes a comprehensive overview of the wholesale industry.
