GET SOCIAL IN LAS VEGAS WITH LG

LAS VEGAS – LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, unveiled the LG GT540, a specialized social networking smartphone running Google’s popular Android, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Following hot on the heels of LG’s first Android smartphone, LG GW620, the LG GT540 creates a fun and familiar social networking environment with LG’s new social networking tool. Through the integrated SNS Manager, the LG GT540 provides quick and easy access to today’s most popular social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Bebo.

The LG GT540 also aims to entertain with must-have multimedia features such as DivX and WMV playback, a motion UI player and a broad variety of hardware features including a 3-megapixel AF camera and up to 32 gigabytes of expandable microSD memory.

Supporting the full suite of Google mobile services, the LG GT540 provides access to Google Maps, Google Search, Gmail, YouTube and Android Market where users can download from thousands of popular applications and games.

The LG GT540 will be launched globally from April 2010.
