MTS has included 3G in Moscow at full capacity

The mobile operator MTS has announced the completion of the project on refarming of frequencies 900 MHz and launch of third-generation UMTS-900 in all districts of Moscow region. As stated by the operator, the development of the 3G network in the 900 MHz frequency range allowed for residents of the territories of the Moscow area mobile Internet access at speeds up to 21 Mbit / s.

Currently, 52% of third-generation base stations in the Moscow region, according to the operator's work in standard UMTS-900, which allows to provide cover much larger areas than the base station UMTS-2100. After a UMTS-standard 900 can increase the coverage area of ??one base station to 10 times.
