The LG G2 continues to be the talk of the town. As you may already know, LG has already sent out press invites for an event that will be held in New York on August 7, during which the aforementioned flagship will be unveiled in all its glory. So there’s no wonder that leaks and rumors surrounding this particular gadget are heating up, as that’s usually the case with each major release before its imminent unveiling.
Now, although we do have a reveal date confirmed, we evidently don’t know exactly when the G2 will go on sale. However, recent reports have given us a few timeframes. Join us after the break for more details.
LG G2 – Release Date Timeframes
The LG G2 is going to be the company’s hottest smartphone for year 2013, being the most powerful and innovative (or at least unique) LG handset yet. Rumor has it that the upcoming Nexus smartphone is also being built on G2's foundations, so it’s a hyped-up smartphone for good reasons.
However, the biggest question LG enthusiasts have at this point is “when and where will I be able to buy one?“.
Well, according to Korean-based sources, the LG G2 is going to hit the shelves on the company’s home ground sometime in early August, probably very shortly after the handset’s unveiling.
According to these reports, North America will be next in line, where fans of the G2 will be able to purchase the device in September. After that, availability will expand to Europe (we’re still talking September) and finally, on a global scale, the smartphone should be available by October.
Evidently, these timeframes have not been confirmed by the manufacturer and even though they make sense, they are still subject to change. Treat the information accordingly and stay tuned. We’ll keep you up to speed as soon as we find out more.
