Leading SRS Audio Solutions Now Available From the Industry's Top-Five TV IC Vendors

SRS TruSurround HD and TruVolume Enable Immersive Surround Sound and Consistent Volume Levels on Industry's Most Popular DTV SoCs for Consumer DTVs

SANTA ANA, Calif., -- SRS Labs (Nasdaq: SRSL), the industry leader in surround sound, audio, and voice technologies, announced today the expanded availability of SRS TruSurround HD(TM) and SRS TruVolume(TM) with the industry's top-five DTV IC providers ranked by DisplaySearch(1) as of Q1 2009.

TV makers now have unprecedented access to SRS surround sound, volume leveling and audio tuning technologies for DTV projects, such as TruSurround and TruVolume. SRS TruSurround HD allows manufacturers to overcome the limitations of a flat panel TVs' small speakers by processing up to 6.1 channels of audio to create amazing surround sound, as well as optimize bass performance and offer rich dialog clarity that's both clear and distinct. SRS TruSurround HD also features a built-in definition control system for maximum high-frequency realism and clarity. SRS TruVolume, the company's newest audio solution, effectively eliminates the volume spikes and dips associated with watching broadcast TV and provides a consistent and level listening experience, allowing users to enjoy television, streaming online media, music, DVD and Blu-ray content on flat panel televisions free of annoying volume fluctuations.

DisplaySearch's Q1 2009 top-five ranked TV IC vendors, which includes Mediatek, MStar, Samsung, Broadcom and Zoran, map closely with SRS' DTV platform solutions. The most recent of SRS' audio enhancement solutions for DTVs, SRS TruSurround HD and TruVolume, are now available for Broadcom's popular DTV SoCs for mass-market flat panel TVs. The availability of SRS solutions on these platforms enables SRS licensees to quickly and efficiently bring new TVs featuring SRS' leading surround sound and volume leveling solutions to market. Meanwhile, most SRS licensees benefit from SRS on-site audio tuning and expert audio advice.

"The addition of SRS' TruSurround HD and TruVolume audio solutions within the industry's top-five DTV IC providers marks a key milestone in our digital television platform strategy," said Joanna Skrdlant, Senior Director of the Global Platform Partner Program for SRS Labs. "By enabling SRS' flagship TV solutions together on single-chip DTV SoCs, SRS Labs' audio enriching technologies can now be easily employed by a much larger portion of the DTV market."

SRS TruSurround HD is available on all of DisplaySearch's top-five DTV IC vendors for Q1 2009, and SRS's newest audio solution, TruVolume, is already available on four of the top-five vendors. SRS TruSurround HD and TruVolume can efficiently run together on a DTV SoC without an additional, independent audio processor in the TV, which represents significant cost-savings for TV OEMs.
