Sony Ericsson SDK for Windows Mobile adds OpenGL ES support to Xperia™ Panels

A new version of the Sony Ericsson Beta SDK for Windows Mobile® 6.1 is now available for download which adds Xperia™ Panels with OpenGL ES support, allowing you to incorporate a broad set of rendering, texture mapping, special effects and other powerful visualization functions. It also provides a graphics pipeline that allows free access to graphics hardware acceleration on the Xperia X1 phone through the Xperia Panel interface.

The Sony Ericsson SDK for Windows Mobile 6.1 is a set of tools, plug-ins and documentation that allows you to develop and test Xperia Panels (both Native and HTML), applications for Windows Mobile 6.1 for the Xperia X1 phone and now adds Xperia Panels with OpenGL ES support.

This new version of the SDK enables developers to add exciting 3D graphics to Xperia Panels by including a broad set of rendering, texture mapping, special effects and other powerful visualization functions.

It also provides a graphics pipeline that allows free access to graphics hardware acceleration on the Xperia X1 phone through the Xperia Panel interface.

This version is shipped with new sample code to help you get start your own development projects.
