Corporation Acer recently released financial results for the first half of 2009. Total income amounted to $ 7.3 billion, down 6% compared with the results of 2008. This operating profit was $ 171 million, up 3% more than last year. Profit after tax was $ 133 million, and it is already at 25% less than that of the previous year.
This Acer holds the third spot in the table of ranks global suppliers of PCs with a market share of 13,5%. The volume of shipments increased by 34,2%. According to preliminary data, Acer now - the number two manufacturer of notebooks in the world with a market share of 20,1%. A separate line would like to note the increase in supply netbooks - by 26,7%.
