Ultra notebooks will occupy only 4% of the market

According to Taiwan analytical agency Digitimes Research, global supply of ultrathin laptops in the current year is 6 million, which amount to only 4% of the market. And this despite their compact size, long battery life and small thickness.

The reasons are not too successful launch analysts see strong competition from low-cost netbooks and more cumbersome, but the productivity of mobile PCs. Perhaps the situation will change with the emergence of more productive and yet not too expensive ultra-thin models.
