Bouygues Telecom and RIM Announce the New BlackBerry Curve 8520 for Customers in France

Bouygues Telecom and Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) announced the new BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 smartphone, a new addition to the BlackBerry Curve series of smartphones, for customers in France.

The slim new BlackBerry Curve 8520 is an incredibly approachable smartphone. It provides easy mobile access to email, messaging (IM, SMS, MMS) and popular social networking sites (including Facebook® and MySpace). Its full-Azerty keyboard enables a comfortable, accurate and fast typing. It also features rich multimedia capabilities and access to music, games and other mobile apps for entertainment on the go.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 also allows access to BlackBerry App World™, featuring a broad and growing catalog of third-party mobile applications developed specifically for BlackBerry smartphones. Categories include games, entertainment, IM and social networking, news and weather, productivity and more.

It is also Wi-Fi®-enabled, providing customers with fast Web browsing and extended data coverage.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone is available from the Bouygues telecom online shop.
Prices start from €29 including taxes (with a minimum 12 month subscription) on a Forfait Pro or Neo.2 two-hours or more voice plan. It will also be available in all 590 “Clubs Bouygues Telecom” retail shops
The smartphone is also available for corporate clients from €25 excluding taxes (sales price of €55 in store with a €30 discount).
