Nokia Beta Labs presented a beta version of the Braille Reader, it is already available for free download here. This program will help blind and visually impaired to read the text message came through in Braille. Nokia Braille Reader works on smart phones with touch screen and presents the text in the form of a set of points, but not convex, as on an ordinary sheet of paper, and vibrating. Judging from the video demo, it's easier and faster it would be simply to voice text with the help of technology text-to-speech. However, it may be useful to anyone and the decision in Braille.

It is designed in cooperation with the Finnish Association Visually Impaired (Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired) and the University of Tampere. Nokia Braille Reader runs on Nokia smartphones based on the platform S60 5th Edition: 5800 XpressMusic, N97, N97 mini, 5530, 5230 and X6.
