Lars Boylsen became the new executive director of Opera

The company Opera Software, known for its browsers, announced the appointment of Lars Boylsena (Lars Boilesen) for the post of chief executive officer of the company today. In this position he will succeed Jon von Tetzchner (Jon von Tetzchner), which in 1995 was made by the co-founder of the company and has since served as its executive director. Jon von Tetzchner will continue to work in Opera on the basis of full employment as a consultant on strategic issues.

Lars Boylsenu 42 years, of which more than 20 years he devoted to the work of the manager of sales and marketing at companies such as Alcatel-Lucent, Tandberg Data, Lego, and Opera Software. Within 5 years, from 2000 to 2005, worked in Boylsen Opera Executive Vice President of Sales. He played a prominent role in the period when Opera was transformed from the developer desktop browsers in the leader of cross-platform solutions. In 2005, Lars Boylsen joined Alcatel-Lucent as CEO in Northern Europe and Baltic countries. Prior to the January 2009 return to the Opera and take the post of Director of Commercial Operations (Chief Commercial Officer, CCO), Lars Boylsen was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Opera Software.
