The Google I/O conference will kickoff in just a few hours, and although Google has said that we don’t have to expect a lot of new hardware and the next iteration of Android (5.0 Key Lime Pie), we are still quite sure that they will release a revised version of the LG Nexus 4. On the website of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group we found confirmation that there will be a new LG Nexus 4 (LG-E960) with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
Google’s current Nexus 4 version that was launched in September 2012 only supports the Bluetooth 3.0 specification. However, it is still disappointing to see that the Nexus 4 will only have 3G connectivity, while it was rumored that there might be a version coming with 4G/LTE support and Android 4.3.
We expect to learn more about the new hardware (Rev1.1) later today during the Google I/O 2013 conference that this year will be taking place in San Francisco, United States.
