Huawei Signed Global Master Agreement with Telenor Group to Supply Mobile Broadband Modems

Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, announced that it recently has signed a Global Master Agreement with Telenor Group to supply Mobile Broadband Modems.

Under the agreement, Huawei will involve to deliver 1.2 million Mobile Broadband Modems in the coming 12 months for Telenor' s 13 operating companies in Europe, CIS and Asia, including Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand and Malaysia.
Mr. Kjell Nordhagen, Global Terminal Procurement Director in the Telenor Group, said: "Huawei is a leading supplier of broadband terminals, we are pleased to cooperate with Huawei."

"We are very delighted to further our cooperation with Telenor Group," said Mr. Jerry Wang, Head of Telenor Business Unit of Huawei. "Huawei can not only provide Telenor with best quality modems but also fast response, flexible customization and best services to facilitate Telenor' s business success."

According to the report from consulting firm ABI Research, Huawei secured a substantial 55% of the global mobile broadband terminal market. By the end of February 2009, Huawei had shipped over 30 million mobile broadband units, serving 235 operators in 115 countries and providing them with customization solutions that match subscriber requirements.
