AT&T U-verse TV Lineup Expands to Include Five New HD Channels

U-verse TV Lineup Reaches More Than 115 HD Channels in Every U-verse TV Market.

AT&T* today announced several additions to the AT&T U-verseSM TV channel lineup, including five new High Definition (HD) channels and new international programming channels for Filipino and Cantonese viewers.

With the latest additions, AT&T U-verse has launched more than 60 channels this year, including 30 HD channels. The U-verse HD channel lineup now offers more than 115 HD channels, which continues to exceed the HD channels offered by the major local cable providers in every U-verse TV market.

“Customers don’t think of HD as bonus content anymore. HD is now the norm,” said Dan York, executive vice president of content and programming, AT&T Converged Services. “Our customers expect the best when it comes to HD, and that’s why we continue to add more and more HD to our lineup. These new channels help us with important strategic content initiatives and give our U-verse TV customers access to more HD channels than their cable peers.”

U-verse TV HD customers now have access to Cartoon Network HD, MSNBC HD and TV One HD, and HD Premium Tier subscribers can now enjoy WFN: World Fishing Network HD. U-verse HD customers will also receive access to TBN HD on Dec. 15. Customers will receive these channels as part of their existing HD service subscription, depending on their programming package.

AT&T has also added VivaTV Plus as part of the Filipino Package. The channel features 24-hour Filipino-language programming, including the latest and most popular movies, concerts, TV series and more from the Philippines.

TVBe is also now available for Cantonese viewers for $17 a month, featuring up-to-the minute entertainment news reports, same-day news from Hong Kong, drama programs and a variety of magazine shows encompassing various topics.

U-verse TV customers can choose from a wide variety of in-language programming options, including packages for Spanish, Filipino, Japanese, French, Polish, Russian, Vietnamese, Korean and South Asian viewers.

AT&T U-verse TV is the only 100 percent Internet Protocol-based television (IPTV) service offered by a national service provider, making AT&T U-verse one of the most dynamic and feature-rich services available today. AT&T U-verse TV ranked “Highest in Customer Satisfaction in the South and West Regions Two Years in a Row,” according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2008 and 2009 Residential Television Service Provider Satisfaction StudiesSM.
