The number of smartphones in the MTS-Ukraine in Q1 2013 increased by 1.5 million

The mobile operator "MTS Ukraine" announced the statistics on the number of smart phones that are registered in the operator's network at the end of the first quarter of 2013.

As the operator, in the 1st quarter of 2013 the number of smartphones in its network has exceeded 3.7 million units, an increase of almost half a million more than it was at the end of the same period of 2012. Thus, the penetration of "smart" phones in the operator's network was about 17%. Today, it is the highest on the market.

The largest increase for the year is traditionally fallen to the terminals under the operating system Android. Such devices in the MTS was more a factor of 4 (302%). In second place - smartphones running the mobile OS Windows (+124%), followed by iOS (+119%) and bada (+71%). The number of Symbian-terminals decreased by 2.4%.

The number of smartphones in the MTS network at the beginning of April 2013 (TOP5 most popular operating systems):

Symbian - 1442000 piece.
Android - 1419000 piece.
iOS - 360,000 piece.
bada - 274,000 piece.
Windows - 151,000 units.
